Equestrian Fashionistas! Get A Sneak Peek at the 2012 FITS Collection

Last month, I had to chance to go to the American Equestrian Trade Association’s show – which is the trade show where equestrian companies introduce their new lines to retailers. I covered the event extensively in a series of fun articles - it would be too long to post all the links but you can find them all by searching AETA in our search bar (under the facebook icon of the sidebar).
In my day job working for Ecogold, we’re always looking at innovative materials and trying to push the boundaries in design. So, I’m generally attracted by companies in other fields that have a similar philosophy.
The equestrian market being a particularly traditional one – name me another Olympic sport where athletes compete in a suit and tie!! (I’m sure someone will come up with something…) - innovation in equestrian fashion is often quite subtle.
But I had a lot of fun looking at the new FITS Collection, which has a ton of innovative little details – stretchy fabric here, cooling mesh there…. I love high-tech stuff! I asked FITS designer Sheryl Rudolph – who BTW has worked for companies such as Speedo and Adidas – to show us a few pieces, which I got on video. I believe these products are not yet available in tack shops, they will be in March 2012. Let’s browse!

Sheryl rocks and the FITS line is fantastic. Their breeches fit like a glove and are extremely well made. There are styles for everyone. FITS clothing washes beautifully and keeps its shape. I would rather ride in FITS breeches than any other! Keep the new styles and colors coming!!
